Love Living in a Retirement Community
To celebrate our first anniversary in July we ran a competition inviting tenants across our portfolio of retirement rental properties to submit a poem, photo or quote describing why they love renting with My Future Living for the chance to win a hamper of goodies.
This was a popular competition and we inspired plenty of people to put pen to paper so to speak! We are delighted to announce that three people beat off some stiff competition and we can now reveal our winners!
In first place is Jim Finn from Blundellsands who penned this fantastic poem called The Golden Years which highlights just how great retirement and living in one of our properties is.
THE GOLDEN YEARS

Oh, to take life easy
At three score years and more
Now that our family’s grown up
And working lives are o’er
To have the time to travel
And visit lands ahoy
Return to all those pastimes
That once brought so much joy
Our lives could not be better
No problems to beware
Amongst like-minded people
Who love to help and care
Oh, to take life easy
Away from stress and fuss
Thanks to ‘My Future Living’
For being there for us.
In 2nd place is Susan Claridge from Brighton who we think summed up very nicely what it means to her living in a My Future Living property in this concise quote
‘Peace, security and totally stress-free!’
And in 3rd place is John Hoad from Osyth who expresses what he thinks with the following lovely quote:
“I have only been here for 15 months and I have enjoyed every day as I have the protection from the high security 24 hours a day and of course the wonderful neighbours I have, plus it’s a well looked after development, gardens and walkways and a manager that you can call on anytime to advise and help when she can.”
Congratulations to all our winners and to everyone that took the time to enter. It was a real pleasure to read through everyone’s entry and hear what people are enjoying about retirement living!
