Tracy and Pat Gulliver Find Security and Friendships Through My Future Living retirement rental
Tracy and Pat Gulliver, aged 61 and 82, have found long-term security, peace of mind, and a strong sense of community since moving to a one-bedroom rental apartment at Meadow Court, Gorleston-On-Sea through My Future Living, retirement living specialists.

The couple moved into their new home two years ago after looking for a place that would provide stability and support Pat with his health issues.
Tracy works full time as an NHS call handler, coordinating transport for hospital services, while Pat is 16 years retired from his job as laundrette supervisor.
Tracy and Pat Gulliver were previously renting a privately owned one-bedroom apartment at Meadow Court, a development they loved and where they had already built strong friendships. However, like many private renters, they lived with the ongoing worry that they could be asked to leave at any time.
Keeping Close to Friends
When a one-bedroom apartment within the same development became available to rent on an assured tenancy through My Future Living, the couple jumped at the opportunity. The move allowed them to remain in the community they valued while securing an assured tenancy, providing long-term stability without the fear of unexpected notice.
Tracy continues: “At this stage of life, knowing we won’t ever be asked to leave is incredibly important to us. You can’t really put a price on that stability, with no unexpected extra costs.”

Another major benefit is the 24-hour careline in each apartment, which provides constant support and peace of mind while Tracy is at work.

She adds: “The careline gives me real reassurance. I know there’s always someone on hand if anything should happen.”
Meadow Court is between the market towns of Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth, in the seaside resort of Gorleston-On-Sea. The town has a sandy beach, a grand promenade and stunning cliff gardens and is just a stone’s throw away from their development. This has enhanced their quality of life as the couple often enjoy gentle walks by the seaside together to get some fresh sea air.
Community at the heart of the place
Beyond the great location, Tracy and Pat have embraced the strong community spirit at Meadow Court. Residents regularly take part in bingo nights, card games, Christmas parties, and indoor boules. Tracy herself is one of the bingo callers, helping to bring residents together.
“There’s a real sense of community here,” Tracy said. “Everyone has everyone’s number, and people genuinely look out for one another.”
The couple also praised My Future Living for the support they received throughout the moving process. “My Future Living were fantastic,” said Tracy. “They even helped us with the move and made sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish.”
Two years on, Tracy and Pat say they have no plans to move again and feel confident they have found a home that offers the stability, support, and community they were looking for.
